Constructing the main cables involves stringing individual strands back and forth between anchorages. Bridge strand is looped around a wheel, and sent (via the tramway) to the other anchorage, where it is anchored and sent back to the other side. Upon completion of the stringing, the separate strands are adjusted, collected, and seized into bundles.
