A s a political sub-division of Florence Township, Roebling is vitally interested in the activities of the Florence Township committee, the local governing body. Three Roebling residents, all of whom are Roebling company employees, have seats on the five man board. They include Police Commissioner Carl Schaum, Chief Stock Man, Number 2 Wire Mill; Committee Chairman Vaughn Donnelly, Time-Keeping department; and Michael Chanti, Finance Committee Chairman, Tractor Operator. Roebling postmaster George Majoros Jr., a World War II veteran, reports that the people of Roebling are sending hundreds of food parcels overseas in an effort to alleviate the suffering of friends and relatives in war ravaged countries.
