LOCATED ten miles south of Trenton, New Jersey’s Capital City, on a tract of land partially reclaimed from
the historic Delaware River, Roebling N.J. has a population of approximately 3,500 persons. Adjacent
to the town are the manufacturing units of the Roebling Company’s Hot Mills, Steel and Copper Wire Mills,
and Woven Wire Fabrics Mills together with all of the allied services necessary to their efficient operation
and maintenance. Here, working together in close community cooperation are people not too far removed from
more than one half dozen European countries. With its commendable civic consciousness, its sense of community
responsibility, and its highly developed group loyalty, the town of Roebling is an outstanding example
of the great American "melting pot" in action.
