Our goal is to be the site on the Internet for information on K-12 Science
Education.
Science to Go!
is a regional program based at the Invention
Factory in Trenton, New Jersey. We prepare and deliver science kits and provide
professional development to teachers in participating school districts in our
region. The result is a science curriculum that works... that is easy for teachers
to implement... and which kids love.
Nationally, this site will be the place to come for teachers
interested in taking their science classroom into the next century.
If you are using STC, FOSS, or Insights Kits already, or are simply
looking for resources to spice up your classroom -
you will find the best the web has to offer here. Our goal is to
enable other resource centers, school districts, educators, and even
parents to benefit from our regional experiment.
Features of our site will include:
- Activities and Extensions for the Kits we support.
- Internet resources to save you time searching the web
- The Kit Forum - where teachers can trade insights and advice
- Scientists and content providers and others involved in science education logging in to answer
questions and provide suggestions
- Information on how to get involved with inquiry-based science
It may take us a little while to get it all up and running, but keep checking
back. If you have any comments or suggestions, or ideas of how we could make your
life easier, please e-mail us at jwinkler@inventionfactory.com.
We’ve got our ears on.
